Terms & Conditions
Terms for using CRIV as a private encrypted relay.
These Terms & Conditions govern use of CRIV, short for Confidential Relay, Individually Verified.
By creating an account, starting a trial, sending encrypted text or files, or decrypting a CRIV delivery, the client accepts these terms.
- CRIV is a private relay for encrypted text and file delivery.
- Sender functions require an active client account.
- Receiver access may remain available without a paid sender account.
- Only email address and password are required for registration.
- CRIV is not a public social platform and does not require real-name profiles.
Use of service
Sender accounts begin with a seven-day free trial. After the trial ends, continued sender access requires payment of 0.00125 BTC per year. Activation requires the full BTC amount to be received and at least one blockchain confirmation. If wallet, exchange, or network fees reduce the amount received, the account should not activate until the full amount is received. There are no refunds after the free trial expires. Unpaid sender accounts may be deactivated until payment is received and confirmed.
Clients are responsible for maintaining account security, choosing strong passwords,
sharing keys or access instructions only with intended recipients, and ensuring that
their use of CRIV complies with applicable law. Clients must not use CRIV for unlawful,
abusive, fraudulent, or harmful conduct, including distribution of malicious files,
harassment, or attempts to interfere with the service.
CRIV may provide sender workflows for email, WhatsApp, and other delivery methods.
Those channels remain subject to the availability and policies of the third-party
platform being used. CRIV may permit recipients to decrypt a delivery through the
website or PWA without requiring that every recipient maintain a paid sender account.
CRIV is designed so that once a file has been successfully decrypted, the related
encrypted and decrypted file copies on CRIV-controlled server storage should be deleted.
If a delivery file no longer remains on CRIV-controlled storage, CRIV should have no
retained file content from that delivery to retrieve, review, or disclose later.
CRIV may enforce upload limits, rate limits, trial restrictions, or account controls
needed to operate the service. Availability may depend on hosting, network conditions,
browser behavior, blockchain settlement, or third-party delivery channels. CRIV does
not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
CRIV may update workflows, pricing, delivery channels, security controls, and these
Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use after an update means the client
accepts the revised terms then in effect.
